Who doesn't like presents??

Several of you have asked about how to buy gifts for Mihret.
We feel weird asking for stuff- we're blessed just to have her in our lives, but we have registered at the following places:

Honestly, though, we're just thankful to have a supportive network of family and friends to help during this new, exciting stage of our lives!

Update from Ethiopia

Sorry it's been a while without any news... here's a quick update-

Carrie and I returned home from a lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant in LA today to find that Merrily Ripley (the Director of Adoption Advocates) had returned from a trip to Addis Ababa, and had posted some photos of her visit to Layla House.

Carrie had asked her to take a photo with Mihret if she could, and we were happy to find that she had! Here is our daughter, as of the last week in August:

We have been told that her case went to court right before the two month closure (for the New Year Celebration), so it's possible that the case for adoption will be heard when they re-convene in early October.
