Cut and paste from an email from Carrie after she called our adoption agency:

Well, we are slowly moving up the list. There are still around 15 families ahead of us, so we won't get a referral right away, but we are getting closer. Linda from AAI thought that they would soon be making referrals to around 10 families, and that we would likely be in the next "round". Merrily (AAI's founder) will be going to Ethiopia May 28th and it sounded like she usually accepts new babies and children when she goes. Who knows? Maybe you'll get a nice Father's Day call!
