Emerging from the Boxes

Slowly but surely we are getting boxes unpacked and settling into our new place.

Oh, so that's where we put the baby...

We definitely miss our Pepperdine friends (some of whom aren't there anymore either!).

Think we're crazy to move from Malibu to Duarte? Our dear friends, the Houstons, just moved from Malibu to Oklahoma!

Mihret and I both miss our afternoons playing in the courtyard with Emily, Abby Jane, Hannah, and Cailyn.

And of course we miss the slightly cooler temperatures of Malibu and the beautiful ocean views.

But Duarte is a great, little community that feels like home to both of us. AND we are less than 5 minutes drive from Costco, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Staples, and the Old Spaghetti Factory! After 3+ years of driving at least a half hour to get to any of those places, we feel absolutely spoiled living here. Once we finish unpacking (maybe by September???), we'll post some pictures of our new place.
